MatterMind is a youth-led television program on mental health, psychosocial well-being, and research. It was initiated in partnership with ISHUSHO TV after identifying a gap in digital mental health awareness in Rwanda. Our vision is to become a hub of mental health information, raising awareness and reducing stigma.

Jeannette Niyokwizerwa is the Founder and CEO of MatterMind and a Clinical Supply Integration Specialist at Zipline(Seconded at RMS). A Pharmacist and Mastercard foundation Alumna from University of Rwanda, she is a dual-force in Rwanda healthcare optimizing the national healthcare delivery through drone technology while simultaneously leading a nationwide movement for mental health awareness. Jeannette’s work at the intersection of the logistics and healthcare system strengthening; turning data into actionable insights is transforming how health information and life saving products reach the Rwandan community.

Egide is a licensed Clinical Psychologist and the Founder of MatterMind. He is currently pursuing a Master’s in Project Management, which complements his strong leadership and business skills. He previously served as a leader in CPSAR and currently works as Business Operations Officer at ISHUSHO LTD. At MatterMind, he combines his expertise in psychology, project management, and business administration to efficiently lead the organization’s growth and impact.

Theodomir is a licensed Clinical Psychologist with extensive experience working with refugee children under UNHCR. His daily responsibilities include providing psychosocial support to children affected by trauma, including sexual abuse. At MatterMind, he serves as Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) Manager and acts as the focal person for safe spaces created for children who have experienced sexual abuse, ensuring they receive the necessary psychological support.

She plays a key role in mobilizing communities and strengthening collaborations for child protection and mental health initiatives.

At MatterMind, he contributes his unique skills to scriptwriting and production, ensuring Toto n’uducuti twe is both impactful and engaging for children and families.

At MatterMind, he provides strategic financial guidance and oversight as the organization’s Financial Advisor.

Currently a lecturer at the University of Rwanda, he provides technical expertise and serves as Research Director at MatterMind, ensuring that the organization’s programs are evidence-based and research-driven
